Move and be moved
Yield and flow through to the next
See the world through your very eyes and be witnessed
Reckon with the stories of the past living in the body and find space for the new and the next

Given a trauma-sensitive container, movement can be a powerful outlet for expression and transformation.  This workshop will include gentle guided improvisational movement, embodiment exercises, authentic movement, journaling, and rest to encourage deep listening and processing through the wisdom of the body.

This workshop is open to all bodies: all races, genders, identities, body types, socio-economic brackets, and backgrounds. No prior experience with dance or movement is required.

Hannah Wasielewski (she/her) is a dance artist and biodynamic craniosacral therapist based in Wabanaki Territory/ Portland, ME.  Her dance practice today is centered around improvisation, experimental contemporary dance forms, and healing through radical performance.  Formally based in the San Francisco Bay Area, she has had over a decade professional dance experience working nationally and internationally as a performer, choreographer, and teacher.

Pricing

$40-75 Sliding scale
*Please reach out to me if this price is prohibitive for you

More information on sliding scale:

I began offering payments on a sliding scale to make sure my work is accessible to people of all income backgrounds. You can decide what you choose to pay based on an honest assessment of your financial status. I will not ask for proof of income, simply give you the choice to pay where you fit within the sliding scale. If you would like help determining how much you should pay, I am happy to have a conversation with you about where you fit on the sliding scale. Or, if you prefer, you can just pay the suggested amount of $60

Here are a few considerations that may be helpful guidance in assessing how much to pay:

Low end of the scale- If you struggle financially, are unemployed or underemployed due to chronic illness, are an artist/activist/nonprofit worker, support dependents, or live paycheck to paycheck.

*Please get in touch with me if the low end is still inaccessible to you.

Middle to upper end of the scale- If you generally have a little extra spending money for example you regularly go out to dinner or buy new clothes.  People in this category may have a savings account or assets and aren’t currently experiencing economic hardship.

Top of the scale- You have significant savings or assets.  Paying at the top of the scale broadens my ability to work with clients with financial restrictions.

Covid-19:

Full refunds will be given for those with any Covid or flu-like symptoms.  Masks will be optional.
